Olo smartphone 3D printer -I want this to be real

It only costs $99, and they have raised $1.4 million (Goal was $80,000). I am not sure a smart phone has the precise light to do this, but if it real, I really want one! over 10,000 backers already, and the comments are a bit worrisome. I'll be watching this to see where it goes.

Anyone else?

Thanks for sharing! I checked it out and I agree, super cool if it works but judging by the comments a lot of people aren't feeling too confident.

Let us know how it turns out if you end up going for it!

I ended up not supporting Olo because I checked back after campaign ended on April 20. I'm still watching because they raised over $2 million with over 16,000 backers.

It's so funny just to watch the printing process, I wonder how durable it is.. 3D printers projects are really popular on kickstarter, but again, I still feel like 3D printers are for commercial use, the consumer side hasn't really been figured out yet

It's not real. Save your money and be smart. It's not worth falling prey to a fast and loose scam like this

It's very difficult to connect an old 3D printer to a smartphone. I remembered trying to set up my wireless printer to connect to my laptop and that was hell for me. It was then that I came to the conclusion that wireless printers are just crap ... I prefer the wired models from Brother and can be found at https://www.mrdepot.ca at great prices. A colleague of mine worked on such a printer and had no problems with these models ... So after that I prefer to use only these models.
