Giving insight into the project design process

Hello everyone,
I am currently running a Kickstarter campaign for a card game called Crop Cycle https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/17 ... crop-cycle
As a means of giving back to the community and generating interest, I created a series of Developer Diaries showcasing how the game was made and some of the decisions that went into designing the project. I then opened the topics up to debate and discussion, as these articles allowed other aspiring game designers to gain insight into what makes a game as well as generate support for the Kickstarter project, a Win-Win in my book. The developer diary can be viewed http://convergentgames.com/diary_archive
What are your thoughts? Have you ever tried anything like this?
