Wow! That is horrible and will hurt future project creators. Trust is a big thing with backers. They trust that creators will deliver on their rewards.

That's what happens when a bunch of Something Awful goons find ridiculous success making Minecraft videos and then think because they are funny jokers they can run a software development business.

Paying all their folks upfront was downright stupid. You pay for milestones.

well it says they left their jobs to work full time on project, have to wonder if they was planing to out source what roles they were planing before they returned to work. sound like party turned into holly shit then a lot of sh*t later dissolved project.

I believe they most likely thought the idea was great but did little research into development before starting campaign to fund it.

hopefully most projects have at least a business plan to know how to use funds afterwards
