Just wrote up this article on the Reading Rainbow Campaign. In terms of number of backers, it's set a record!

Pretty crazy that so many people rallied around this project and it's cool to read through all of the comments. Also, for those who don't know, it's actually raised 6.4 million due to Seth Macfarlane's' pledge.

What do you think of the campaign? Will more celebrities be using Kickstarter in the future?

I know I was super happy that it did so well. It's a good cause and definitely appealed to the nostalgia in us. I don't know how I feel about more celebrities using Kickstarter. I think it would depend on the project and who the celebrity was.

I'm really happy that this was so successful regarding literature and an old, favorite TV show. Nowadays you'd expect this to be about tv or movies. Which isn't bad at all but it's nice to see books getting the spotlight again.
