Rifftrax Funded Live Godzilla Spoof

RiffTrax has been spoofing movies since the 90s. They recently funded a Twilight spoof on Kickstarter that reached 482% of their funding goal with over $260K in pledges, but due to the fact that they could not obtain the rights to that movie they ended up doing Star Troopers instead. Their next venture is a spoof of 1998's Godzilla, and they are reassuring their fans that they will not have problems obtaining rights this time.
With 28 days left to go on this project, they have already surpassed their goal of $100K.

Those who pledge a certain amount will receive prizes courtesy of the guys at RiffTrax. This includes a collection of short films, a “Godzilla” RiffTrax MP3, and a lot more. Plus, they are offering VIP packages, which include meeting all three men in Nashville, Tenn. or Minneapolis, Minn.; front row seats to the live show; your picture in the credits; and the opportunity to write one riff, which they will use during the presentation of “Godzilla.”
