Trying to promote Female Led Indie/Punk rock music album

    by GetUpKid » Fri Aug 23, 2013 10:13 pm

I'm trying my best to figure out how to promote our kickstarter campaign to finish our album.

Unfortunately we haven't been around too long so don't have any kind of established fan base, so any help or suggestions at all would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!

Hi, GetUpKid... I think you did a decent job on your campaign.. I particularly like your main campaign photo. For promo.. do you know any bloggers? Anyone who writes about indie/punk with a following? Do you have any gigs scheduled soon? If so, push your campaign to your audience. Go to clubs and handout cards. Maybe find some like minded campaigns to cross-promote with.

My goal is to be helpful. However individual results may vary.

    Hey! Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, we've played a few shows and have tried that approach but it doesn't seem to be crossing over.

I was also hoping to do what you were talking about with cross promotion but there aren't currently any musical endeavors on kickstarter that are very similar to ours.
