Hauntnav.com is a crowd funding platform geared toward the Horror crowd. We have been in the haunted attraction industry for about 15 years. Hauntnav.com as of this posting though, is brand new. We just went live on July 20. We Fund Scary People! The site is open to projects that have anything to do with the Horror/ Haunt Genre. Artists, comics, games, home haunters, paranormal, props, special efx, horror movies, publishing etc.
We developed the site to open another avenue for horror related projects because we ourselves, wanted to run a project and after researching the big sites we found that a lot of horror based projects are buried on the site and hard to find. Very few reach their goals. Search under horror or haunt to see what we mean.
What a lot of campaigns dont understand is that being successful is due to multiple factors. The major factor is Marketing your campaign, getting it in front of as many eyes as you can. Another factor is being able to be found. There is a reason why campaigns will pay for prime real estate on sites. Another factor is donations by the "window shoppers" These are people who are browsing campaigns, come across something that interests them and decide to help. This was a big reason for the sites conception. We knew that those looking at the projects are going to be fans of the Horror genre.
