Is PRserve real, fake or scam?

    by mike420blazed247 » Sat Jan 06, 2018 4:19 pm

I see the PRServe works on a performance basis, but they also take an upfront fee. I don't believe in paying anyting upfront, because then what's to stop a company from just taking the upfront fee and doing no work? However, I have heard positive things about them and that they do good work, but I'd like to see if anyone has been scammed by them as well.

Ran into this as well with them. The upfront fee is not what makes me worried, it's claiming to be 100% performance based and then asking for an upfront fee. Not a good start to a business relationship.

I think your logic is flawed a bit about the upfront fee part though. If a company does good work, they generally maintain that level of work for all their clients. I dont know if you've ever hired a lawyer before for a DUI or something, but those lawyers always charge 100% upfront because there is no guarantee of the ouctome of a court case. The same applies to marketing: no guarantee as to what will happen. You minimize risk as much as possible by looking into a company's track record etc., but at the end of the day it's always a risk.

However, lying can't be tolerated. Claiming to be performance based and then requiring an upfront fee is not honest as far as I am concerned.

Oh yeah, then why are there firms who work on pure commission and offer guaranteed results? See here: guaranteed-results-t7805.html](guaranteed-results-t7805.html

Thanks I'll check into that one. I decided to just stick to my guns and not hand anything over upfront. It just doesn't make sense to me to pay upfront at all.
