Please give us some suggestions for our campaign

    by eajy_design » Mon Jan 11, 2016 10:20 pm

    Hi! Guys!

We have already launched our first campaign for two weeks, but we still have just 1 backer. :-(
    http://igg.me/at/beams-chair
We don't know what kind of mistake we made.

Here are something we've already done
1.The Facebook and google Adword have already bought.
2.Some press released also already bought

    Our question is as below
    1. Does our product not fit into this kind of crowdfunding very well because we saw most successful case is about technology or housewares...... ?
2.Should we buy crowdfunding PR service because we haven't used social media, such as FB and tweeter very much? (If you have any good and reliable PR company, please also introduce them to us. )

Please give us some advices or share your successful experience.

thanks very much for your helps!

    EAJY DESIGN team

You have to be very active, as the backers are real people and very active on social networks, specially twitter, facebook, linkedin, reddit & google+.
    # Schedule you tweets, you must share a tweet in 10-15 minutes
    # Join facebook groups, all related to crowdfunding.
    # Join LinkedIn Groups, all related to crowfunding
    # Join Google Plus communities.
    # Go for Reddit AMA
    # submit the video on all Video posting Sites.
    # Go for PR Distribution, Make sure your press release is well written and addressing the message. You can use PrWeb.com

Apart from you can join http://www.backerCamp.com, http://www.krowdster.co to get more backers.

Actually, every crowdfunder should start marketing at least 2 months before, it doesn;t matter if you are pledging for 2000$ or 1 million$. Though, you launched the campaign, it has a video, it's has 44 days left.. apply the above tricks. you can do it.

    This is some great advice!

Just collect leads by collecting potential backer's emails is a great start too.

Saw you mentioned Backerclub and Krowdster, hope you could mention Hyperstarter too haha.

We've a testimonial and reviews on this site too:

In general, it seems like many successful campaigns treat the Kickstarter/IndieGoGo campaign as the final "call to action". You should definitely try to participate in social media channels and create awareness of your product and brand BEFORE you launch. Use those tools to create an audience that is interested in your product already, so that when you do launch the Kickstarter you will hopefully have a large group of individuals that are ready to support you.

Specific to your campaign... Firstly, they are beautiful chairs! The I-beam design is very elegant. I think you have a good product, but my only thought is the price point. I don't know anything about designer furniture, or what is typical, so maybe the price point is appropriate, but for me personally that seems high.

I could also be that furniture is a hard thing to market through crowdfunding in general. It's not a market that is commonly associated with crowdfunding the way tech items, or art or media is, so you might be going uphill there as well.

    Good luck!

I can see the problem with the high price point.

If your backers have to shell out that much to receive your product, there better be a damn strong emotional trigger.

Emotion is everything, story is everything. Feature the inventor and the design process, putting a face to your campaign lets backers know they are getting a chair that not only supports their backs, but a human being. (you like that?; ))

The copy could also use some work. I learned about this website called kopywritingkourse.com run by this guy who will email you some pretty good advice on copyrighting, gaining email subscribers etc.

The chair is beautiful, all you need is a little emotional pull to give it legs!

    Keep up the great work!

    sweet advice! VVVVVV
