Fuzzballs Kawaii Shirts - My First Kickstarter

    by Kyandii » Mon Jun 08, 2015 9:15 pm

Hi everyone, I've just launched my very first Kickstarter! Fuzzballs Kawaii shirts, necklaces and keyrings.

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ky ... cklaces-an

I've been creating cute little Fuzzballs tumblr animations for over a year now and been asked loads of times to turn them into shirts. I know i can make them at cafepress or where ever but the quality is just not there and i wanted something amazing that'll last a long time.

I then thought about adding some extra value items and thats where the necklaces and keyrings came from. I'd really appreciate any advice, support, pledges that anyone can give. I've put my all into this, doing everything myself and hope i can make something awesome.

Hi, first thing...looks really really good! I'm in Asia, I see alot of this stuff.

I just wish the colours were a bit more exagerated like the jam and cherry on the cupcake was more shiny or that he "sat" in the cupcake better as his tail doesn't look right.

It might be the tiers that's stopping the pledges, but $50 for 3 tee's sounds about right. Maybe you need a toddler version for $15, I can see it being popular + set of x3.

I don't think the $21 tier is useful, you should get rid of it. Change the $18 to $20 perhaps. I think more hot women would attract attention to the page, perhaps a reddit post in the tee section and reaching out to sites who can promote you.

Let me know if I can help, as I run a popular gifts site.

Thanks for your reply. I'd love to offer toddler/kids versions but the cost of doing it along with the adult tees is too huge at this time. Defo for the future though. Also the prices are in £ so putting them up to £20 brings the price a little too close to $30 for me. But i'll post to the reddit tee section as i didn't know that existed but yes please, any more help you can offer i'll gladly accept!

Arrgh there's the problem perhaps...you should of used $ to cater to the mass market, I guess you can't change them now and round-up/down the prices?

I know why the prices are so high, but I think you should lower them and attract more bidders that way. You'd also have a larger (email) fanbase to target rather than the 20+ you're currently targeting.

Im located in the UK, so it HAS to be £, kickstarter base it on where you are. But americans do see it in $ apparently. And no, prices can't change once you launch a kickstarter. I don't think the price is an issue, it works out around the same as a shirt on threadless who are a much larger company and its more a case of just getting the right group of people to see this.
