I'm currently writing a new novel titled Severed in Time (could change). It follows a group of soldiers and civillians throughout several story arcs 5 years after creatures emerge from portals known as rifts. The creatures, known as 'Mutes', are non-sentient human-like horrors, seemingly incapable of communication, mercy or fear.
