Hey,
As someone who has just recently quit work and become a full time inventor (Hurrah) I was wondering what people thought of patents especially for a small startup?
In my mind they seem to be a bludgeon that large multinationals can threaten people with and if you cant afford to spend years in court then they seem to be worthless.
What do people think?

Don't worry about patents unless the product is already really selling and on the rise. Then look into it.
