    An Atheist Children's Storybook

    by process613 » Wed Nov 26, 2014 1:52 am

There isn't anything fun for nonbelievers to read to a child, so we created this storybook. It's more of a fable with a great lesson for kids. There's tons of illustrated religious stories, so it's about time we had one of our own. And it rhymes!

It's about a little girl who believes there are monsters under her bed. No matter what her mother tells her, her brother, Izzy Dean (ID aka Intelligent Design), always insists they can exist. Eventually there's a Monster Patrol with a Magic Zamboni and they disprove his doubts. Still, he won't admit that they don't exist. The little girl finally learns to stop listening to her brother and think for herself.

We've had a great reception initially. Some of the Secular Humanist sites picked it up and we got 60% funded in a couple days. Now we're figuring out how to keep people engaged.
