Beauty Queen Autopsy by Lotharia (collab album)

This project is a collaboration between musicians. I know Caustic from the industrial music scene, and he appeared in Auxiliary Magazine's Kickstarter video--a highly active guy who is also a loud opponent of casual misogyny and racism that's crept into industrial music in the past decade. So even though that music scene's an acquired taste for all its abrasive electronics, he's one of the good guys in my view, fighting so it can be a force against oppression.

The other collaborator, I don't know as well, but she seems cool too. What I noticed about this campaign is their big offer, to have Matt Fanale read anything you want in dramatic style, while his collaborator plays a cello accompaniment, recorded just for you. There are only 2 of 8 left for that. From there it gets more absurd, mixed between "We will write a 3-song EP for you", "We will write a 10-track album for you", or bizarre stuff like they write a fanfic for you. They have 10 days left and are slowly narrowing the gap to their $10K goal. I believe they can do it. Being so tapped out from spending on ad/marketing services for my own campaign, I was limited to the very familiar $10 option, a download of the album plus my name in the liner notes (it wouldn't be the first time, you can find me in Johnny Hollow's stellar A Collection of Creatures.

It has always amazed me at how new songs, new styles and new genres in music pop up. When I was a kid it was the birth of Rock and Roll and my parents who listened to Big Band music didn't like it. To this day I have a very eclectic taste in music. I love music from the Big Band era, Bluegrass, Country, Rap and on and on. So I wish you success with your venture. There IS an audience out there for you.
