Really would recommend asking family/friends to pledge first before asking strangers.

I have found through my one and only kickstarter, that people are focused on the rewards. Helping you is a secondary goal unless they know you. I think the best things you can do are: 1. offer rewards people want; 2. build a deep following over time.

Why not offer some tangible rewards? This is an opportunity to pre-sell baked goods. How much for a loaf of bread? How about a pie or cake? This would only get local pledges, unless you plan to ship goods, but it may help.

How about posting a photo of some of the young cooks?

Another reward could be a photo album, video, or articles emailed to backers that chronicles the progress of the project.

    Hi,

You posted your campaign on July 11 and it is now July 19th and you no donation. I do not mind helping you with your campaign but if your family and friends can't give you $1 to support you, why would anybody else does?

    My advice:

    - share it with your family and friends
    - go to networking events in your area to meet people and talk to them about your project
    - reach your to your professor from college etc...
