Introduction and Direct Emails & Twitter for Pledges

    by fhdefineyourhustle » Sun May 25, 2014 9:33 pm

fH - Define your Hustle should be referred to all potential kickstarter fund raising agendas. Meaning that all KickStarter members are living fH in trying to help their cause. I can share that the best thing so far in raising funds for fH is to reach out via Direct Emails. Get a list going. Write down 50 to 100 people. Imagine getting married and you have to invite people to your ceremony that you are paying for. These people are your close friends. You can interact with them more casually than most people. Be passionate about your project. I have received 22 pledges by emails and 1 only by direct search on KickStarter. I have posted the campaign on Facebook and have received great feedback but no pledges as of yet. People are fickle. The video has been seen 162 times and I can say that there are 139 views that have not been converted to pledges. 139 X $30 is $4,170. We would be almost funded if those views converted to pledges!

My next focus will be utilizing Twitter. Please follow me @passperfplay. Currently I do not have any followers besides a major sports talk show host here in Seattle and a Resident DJ in Las Vegas. I am going to ask them to tweet out my project after Memorial Day Weekend. fH - Define your Hustle (KICKSTARTER's!) - Passion. Performance. Play.

Hey! Those are some great tips, it makes sense that email is more personal and would lead more people to actually pledge than just posting about your project on Facebook. I felt that you could have been in the video or given more background on the project; personal touches like that tend to make people more likely to support a project. Let us know how your Twitter phase goes! Just followed.
