    Losing momentum...

    by PointSeventyFive » Sat May 17, 2014 11:52 pm

    Hello all,

We started our first kickstarter project, and have had a great momentum starting up!

We got 19% of our goal within the first 4 hours, and we are continuing to grow!

Most of the early supporters have been coming from kickstarter discover/explore, and that source of backer has died down significantly now that the project is not a 'recently launched' project anymore.

We are having a bit of tough time getting the word out. It's a really cool project (the cranes are SO TINY!) but it is unfortunate that we cannot reach the people who would be so interested in the project.

Please let us know if you have any recommendations/suggestions!

The campaign can be found at:

    Thanks,

    PointSeventyFive team

Congratulations on your progress so far! What are you doing so far to reach a bigger audience for this project? These cranes are very cute, but I feel like it would be easiest to try and narrow down a type of audience that would tend to be interested in this kind of item. Social media-wise, I think this project lends itself to Pinterest, because this item is so novel and cute and Pinterest allows you to save and share pictures easily. Good luck with the rest of your campaign!

    Thanks for the comment, therriaultk!

We have been looking into Pinterest as a valued source of social media marketing, but have not had great success with it. Do you have any tips for getting started on Pinterest?

    Thank you!

I would also remember that there is usually an influx of funding at the very beginning and end of the kickstarter

But I second the pinterest idea as a good one, no tips though :(

@ishantrissi - Good point. I do see some campaigns with a linear growth, but definitely more that see an influx in the beginning and towards end.
