The Big Spoon: An UNromantic Comedy

    by bigspoonmovie » Tue Apr 08, 2014 6:18 pm

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce you to our kickstarter campaign for the film The Big Spoon. Please let me know what you think! Specific question for feedback- what do you guys think the minimum pledge should be? I think since you can give any amount starting at $1, that its ok for the perks to start at $15, but one of my collaborators wants to lower the minimum pledge for a perk amount.

THE BIG SPOON is about the uncomfortable, hilarious, sometimes dark and mostly honest lengths people will go to to make a mismatched relationship work- not just in romance, but in friendship, too.

Is it better to be alone than settle for a relationship with diminishing returns? When does compromise become compromised? When you stop growing is it time to cut the cord?

Working with Tangerine Entertainment, a new company dedicated to women directors, the team behind The Big Spoon is committed to bridging the gender gap behind the camera while telling stories that are accessible to audiences across the board.

Set in contemporary Austin, The Big Spoon dissects the uncomfortable, funny, sometimes dark and mostly honest lengths people will go to to make a mismatched relationship work, not just in romance but in friendship, too.

Also starring ALEX KARPOVSKY (HBO's Girls, Inside LLewyn Davis) and AGUSTIN SILVA (Sundance hits Crystal Fairy and Magic Magic, and the upcoming Nasty Baby with Kristen Wiig), The Big Spoon is about the perils of staying together when you should really be apart.
