I’m planning to create custom stickers as part of a Kickstarter reward tier for a new project. The design is coming out great but I want to make sure the stickers are high quality and won’t peel off easily, especially on items like Hydro Flasks or water bottles.

That's a great question! Stickers are a popular reward, but durability is definitely key, especially for something like a Hydro Flask that gets a lot of use (and washing!). I haven't run a Kickstarter myself, but I've bought plenty of stickers, and here's what I've noticed makes a difference:

Vinyl: Vinyl stickers are generally the most durable and weather-resistant. They hold up well to water and sun exposure.
Lamination: A laminate layer over the printed design adds extra protection against scratches and fading. This is especially important for stickers that will be used outdoors or on items that are frequently handled.
Adhesive: Look for stickers with a strong adhesive, specifically designed for outdoor use or for sticking to smooth surfaces like metal or plastic. Some adhesives are even formulated to withstand repeated washing.
Since you're planning to use them as Kickstarter rewards, it's worth contacting a few sticker printing companies and asking about their options for durable, weatherproof stickers. They can usually provide samples so you can test them out yourself.
