Oh, well! I replaced my toilet last month, and I'm willing to give you some advice! First, don't forget that you shouldn't leave the tank lid on when moving the toilet. Mine was made of porcelain, and guess what? I broke it! Not only did I break the tank lid, but the flooring was chipped and dented as well. So, yeah, take the lid off before moving the new toilet into place. By the way, make sure you measure the toilet rough-in before replacing the toilet. That's super important. You can use the step-by-step guide from SanitaryReview. It helped me install the new toilet myself, and I'm no plumber.

For the first couple days, be slow getting on and off the toilet. The wax ring is still settling and forming to create a good seal. If you are too quick/moving around too much on the toilet, it can result in a bad seal. Happy pooping.
