    The Thinket project on Kickstarter

    by thinket » Sun May 12, 2013 7:50 am

    Hey All,

My name is David Weinstock, and I'm new to this forum as of a few minutes ago. I'm currently running a Kickstarter project for my invention called, The Thinket.

My project launched on Saturday May 4th, and I had no idea what to expect. It's been doing well so far, but I find that I have questions about what to do and what not to do on Kickstarter in the process of furthering the success of the project.

I tend to err on the side of enthusiasm, and I've received feedback both pro and con in that regard.

I'm extremely grateful that this forum, as well as others similar to it, are around to offer feedback and guidance. I'm interested in learning as much as possible about the crowd funding process to make my current and future projects better and more successful.

Here is the link to my Kickstarter project: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/206 ... he-thinket

If anyone has any feedback, suggestions, guidance, etc., I would be interested in hearing your comments.

Just FYI: I am posting this same basic request on several forums for efficiency.

So, if you happen to see it posted elsewhere, please understand that I am using the same wording because I am swamped taking care of my project at the moment, and must get back to it asap.

Thank you for your consideration and your input.

You've got a seriously simple and cool product here. It looks like you've blasted your initial funding goal to pieces. I think you've presented the product very well, but sometimes it's hard to get the exposure needed to hit the stretch goals your after without doing extra promotion. Have you advertised your project at all or had any coverage from media outlets? We do tons of stuff with KS on our website. We're primarily a gaming site, but we are huge supporters of crowdfunding in general. If you are interested in looking for more exposure you can look at our website:

    Awesome job so far!
