I am a fashion/shoe designer originally from Israel and before starting this project I didn't even know what Kickstarter was! (Don't tell anyone:)
Every thing I learned was through crowdcrux, I read everything I possibly could, saved articles, took notes, whatever I could. The only thing I regret, is not finding it earlier!
