I'm running right now my first Kickstarter campaign and I'm learning so much!
It's being a positive experience but it's definitely much more work than I was anticipating (getting strangers to visit your campaign and back your project is so challenging!!!)

I've had the chance to show my card game "San Francisco Vs. Fog" in few events and I visited many retailers in the city and the feedback is super encouraging. That's what motivates the most

I’m an employee of a start up aiming to improve the call bell systems currently used at most heathcare facilities.

We have developed a hands free method of communication for patients who may have issues (e.g motor impairment) preventing use of the call bell system.

It has been... meh for me. For circumstances out of my control I needed to launch prematurely without any marketing or buzz building. Literally started from nothing so it's definitely been a learning experience.

So is that positive or negative?

It's been both. There are amazing times and then there are times when it feels really rough. It's at the very least been rewarding.

So far, pretty positive! My team has just launched our first Kickstarter campaign and it’s been a learning experience. We've put our hearts and souls into this project, an MMA strategy card game, and hope the Kickstarter can bring it to the next level - we want to do a large production run. We're really grateful for all the support we've received!

I only started yesterday and we've managed to raise 7% of the target. I should be happy, but literally all of that funding so far has come from my family and close friends...every. single. penny.

I'm loving their support, but I'd like for the project to actually be believed in by people outside of my friendship circle. We have an Instagram, facebook, twitter, snapchat, tumblr and update them all with daily updates and have competitions running. We get the likes, we get the shares, we get the followers...but for some reason, people don't seem to want to donate.

I'm not quite sure what to think of the experience yet. But I'm only 24 hours in...

We used to be happy of kickstarter, but their help service is horrible. We have a misunderstanding with them as somehow they have linked us to projects of different companies on different accounts and block us from starting anything new until these other teams fulfill their obligations. Kind of ridiculous considering we have never even heard of them. They show complete lack of understanding, don't reply to new support tickets and don't reply to any emails from us. They just considered the case "explained". We, a Virtual Reality company need to deliver all iphone chargers and electric skateboards to backers of another crowdfunders...........

I recently posted when I first started my campaign and I thought that now would be a good time to update.

I'm struggling with the fact that KickStarter itself only seems to promote campaigns that are already funded (like above and beyond their target). I understand that they're a business and therefore are required to advertise the fact that they are able to provide lots of successful campaigns...BUT, the campaigns that need views, that need help and advertising, just are not getting seen or talked about in the way that they should.

My campaign is at the bottom of a page of 'already funded campaigns' from the beginning of the year...how is that fair?
