Hello everyone
Im currently affiliated and working with Diving Hippo Studio and I'm sharing this campaign right now for gemstone dice;
http://kck.st/2EzrurgIt's a set of Gemstone polyhedral dice handmade from real stones and engraved with zodiac symbols.
I've really found it interesting through promotions that the middle times of a Kickstarter (typically day 25-day 10 or so in my own Kickstarter experiences) are extremely slow. Likewise, I've often had other people who are running Kickstarter communicate with me and ask questions about how they could improve their backings.
I and a few others online have done the following for the gemstone dice series campaign:
Promote on reddit, instagram, facebook, twitter, pinterest, google +(in the past when it worked), email lists, and many, many forums related to the niche topic of dice, zodiac, and gemstone collecting. We even post in other language forums.
We've garnered a lot of attention for the project - nearly 1000 or so followers ( I personally don't have direct access to the dashboard) I am told. So obviously our hard work is paying off - however, it seems only about 23% of those backers are from off site sources, mainly facebook and unknown links.
My questions are:
This seems very typical - many followers, few backers out of the followers. The highest I've personally seen is 13%. Not sure about the gemstone dice. How does one best get those followers to back?
Is there anyone else who can think of great places to promote projects other than the ones I've mentioned? Personally I think we in the little volunteer/paid advertising team have gone pretty much everywhere and anywhere, even beyond into other languages.
Thank you all for reading and for your time
All the best
