Exactly! A quick word about your video, it does absolutely nothing to explain what your project is or what you're trying to create. You've done a great job of attracting initial backers but you might have trouble down the line if you dry up your immediate network. Consider adding some voiceover/text that really explains your project. It goes a long way as many people ONLY view the video and don't even scroll down the page if they're not enticed.

Yea I quickly realized that my video was my weakpoint when I went live. That's great advice though...I've been so busy trying to promote my project that I forgot about taking a step back to improve it.

PS - Thanks for the kickstarter love. I actually got the new backer email right as I was submitting my pledge to prismland, just another coincidence.

Ha, that's great. Thanks to you as well.
Looks like you've got plenty of time to fix the video and you've done a great job promoting it. Keep it up!

I guess I got here a little late as you're already funded. So, yes, you made the right decision.

It is interesting, Im 2 days into my kickstarter and I only have 1% but the answer is still yes.

The video I made for my kickstarter explained my last 11 yaers of help my community in under 2 mins which I have never done before for some reason. Also as I'm trying to get the sequel story created with my campaign and its got my whole city buzzing about the first. And also its made me let go of perfection and just put everything on the table without being to precious but also not holding back from the achievements I have made.

Ether way I know in 26 days I'm coming out better of from this experience

    better to go for it.
    my first campaigned failed.
I learned from it, improved and relaunched.
currently I am at 50% in 10 days. Try and try again if you believe in it.

@ Stefano the funnel looks great :) Can I ask the 2nd time you launched did you change your asking amount? And how did you involved you previous backers?

If you could give mine the once over that would be great.

    @vince

I changed quite a few things. in the first I gave too many options and the amount was indeed too high. This time around, with less options I have less costs I have to face to produce the first batch. Then I ran a simple risk analysis and I decided to lower it still a bit. This means that if i get funded for the minimum I ask , I will still have to add some money to produce the full quantity required by the manufacturer, and I will keep some stock. All of this is very much workable for me.

I did involved my previous backers. not all of them came back, but the ones that did, are my best supporters (for a new-born-potential-want-to-be-a-brand, these followers are the best

i looked at yours as well. cool stuff. I think the stories of the indigo babies is fascinating, but it gets a bit lost with too much introduction in the main video. but hey, I am no expert at all on KS... so .... :)

    cheers
    Stefano
