Thank you for sharing this! I just started my first Kickstarter yesterday and I am at about 30% funded. Another person who I know in my community had their kickstarter start at the same time and was funded before the end of the day. Not going to lie… I was a bit scared I may not make my goal but I have to remind myself that I still many days to go!

It's great reading up on how others like you learned from the first campaign to make the next one better. :)

Nice! I'm also planning a kickstarter campaign on watches. Though I must say what we have are somewhat different. I'm doing a quartz watch which is aiming on a more entry level watch that is more affordable. That said, I think your watches are of different target customers in some way. Nevertheless, an amazing design and content you have which I think is probably why 50% of your backers are from kickstarter's own search tab. :))

Oh, I'm doing watches, too! Though we are also in different segments I think -- I doing rather unique automatic watches. I find that all these watch kickstarters have a bunch of blog reviews, which is great for legitimacy, but do you actually get sales from these blogs?

Also, more generally, I wonder if it is better to spend money on Ads on a subscriber list, or on the campaign itself. From the experience of OP, seems to be the former -- got to build that funnel.

I wish you the best luck with your campaign. Thank you for taking the time to share the information you have learned. It was very helpful. I am struggling with my campaigns success right now, but I will not give up trying. I work on staying positive and learning as I go, especially from others who have fantastic advice. Thank you for the information you provided, any knowledge from others I can use to help me be successful is appreciated.

    Respevtfully,

Thanks for sharing your tips Mint! This is really good stuff for Creators!

I especially share the same view on FB targeted ads. You REALLY need to know what you're doing or you can drop money and not get any conversions...

Great tips and story! Funny coincidence, in one my my courses in college, we had a assignment where each of us would talk about a Kickstarter campaign and yours came up in one of them! Congrats on being funded!
