I am in the same boat, where it looks unlikely I will reach my goal. However, I feel it is worth sticking with it until the end. You never know what will happen and what kind of contacts you will make through the process. As @WayneY mentioned, you can use your new knowledge and relaunch your campaign if you don't reach your goal the first time.
Cool project. Too bad it didn't make it. I've noticed that animation projects on kickstarter are not that popular unless you already have a large following.
Try making short webisodes for youtube. It's good way of building an audience.
Reading all of these comments is really helping me. This is my first time doing this and I'm really hoping for a fully funded project. But even if not- at least I'll have learned something in the process.
I've seen some campaigns sluggishly scrape by throughout most of their duration until the last week suddenly shot it up past their goal. You never know, your target audience just might discover your project during its eleventh hour and give it the push it needs to succeed. Don't give up!
Edit: And, as usual, I'm too late, lol. Sorry, but I still say don't give up. XD
Looks like you got over 20% of your goal before it ended. Did you consider hiring someone to give you some advice on the actual running of your campaign? Even though I am over my meager goal I was thinking I might find someone to give me some advice and direction to keep the funding going.
