All the sharing and conversation on Facebook have definitely been the biggest part of my successful funding! I had one Mom blogger and a very small local online site share my project, but everything else came from social media, friends, family, and Kickstarter. Definitely build this up as much as possible before you launch.
Last weekend I offered an incentive to my backers to share a Facebook- a free matching Kodi coin purse to anyone who share on Facebook with an endorsement. About 30% of my backers followed through. The things they said were amazing. It also help ignite more conversations with my backers. Make sure you are connecting with your backers.
This has been one of the hardest things I have done, but it has been such a great experience and I have learned so much!! I might sleep for a week after...Oh wait, I have more work to do...
