I started my kickstarter 2 days ago with a goal of $200 to get supplies to expand my product line of chainmaille jewelry. I was fairly confident that I would meet my goal, but I was shocked when I met it in the first two days. I was not expecting that kind of response at all. Now I'm pushing for my stretch goals and the whole situation is still a bit surreal to me. I've been sharing my link through facebook and many of my friends have done the same for me. Most of my funding has come from people just finding the project through kickstarter. I had expected my funding to be mostly friends and family and I was pleasantly surprised to find out it hasn't been so far. It is nice to know that your project can stand on it's own!
