To the person who suggested Fiverr... just bear in mind that they charge $5 per "gig."

So if you pay $5 for a gig and have them pledge $4 - they get nothing. (FIver takes $1 of every $5 that someone at Fiverr is paid.)

Why not contact all the local libraries in your city and offer to put on a small, free performance some weekend, contingent on you being allowed to have a stack of your Kickstarter flyers there. Does New Orleans have small community newspapers - those that come out once a week? Contact the publisher...
