I'm from New York City but spend a lot of time in the Bay Area and TX, which has a nice growing startup community. The great thing about crowdfunding is it democratizes access to capital so it doesn't really matter whether you're in a big startup market or small one.

I think IGG offers more support than KS. At least for some verticals such as hardware. Plus it's less noisy in many cases. Ineneral KS is getting so hit driven whereas IGG is a little more flexible and open.
