I'm not sure of the specific numbers used but I believe that the ranking on Kickstarter is based on the amount of funding and the number of backers and the speed at which you get backers. so even if someone is only backing you for a dollar if you can get a lot of people to back you for a dollar you'...

I think that there are far more big name players that are using it now than there was before. it's cool for the system to get more attention but whenever I hear about some big name movie star or well known video game developer using Kickstarter it kind of annoys me because it feels like Kickstarter ...
