I once backed a campaign from a comedian who offered to give those who donated $1 to his campaign the opportunity to meet him at the nearest 7 eleven store and receive a deluxe kick in the butt. Hundreds of people donated, myself included because I was having a rough day and it gave me a good laugh....

It's important to be unspammy. Nobody wants to be spammed with promotion.

I haven't noticed that post are being removed, but if they are that is probably the reason.

I totally get campaigns need love and support from backers...but be respectful and try to contribute useful information.

I just backed the most interesting project ever. OK, I'm biased because I'm a writer who loves edgy writing that pushes buttons.

Even still - I love the McSweeney's campaign. There is nothing in this world more wonderful than indy publishing that allows writer's to be free.
