The connect w/facebook is something different that shows the potential donors how many facebook friends you have, so they know you are a real person. With that, you should link with your personal account, and not the account you set up for the project.

I like this idea and am interested in seeing your film. I wouldn't describe yourself as a "soon to be amateur filmmaker" because it sounds like people are investing in something unstable. I would say that you are an independent filmmaker and leave it at that.

I think funding goes down after you tap out your family and friends. The truth is, the primary source of income for most projects will be through personal connections. So yes, I have found there is a slow down. The key is to post periodic updates. I try to do one at 25%, 50%, 75% and 90%. If I only ...
