I've learned that you can be mobbed by promotional scams. My project is pretty modest, but from day one I was getting generic emails offering promotional services with high costs.

I'd say a steady stream at your stage is just fine, based on the conventional wisdom that 90% of projects that pass 30% get funded. A similar rate would get you to 80% by the end, and that's enough that your strongest supporters would probably take you the rest of the way.
