    New to the crowdfunding scene

    by LambdaPC » Sat May 31, 2014 2:26 pm

We are just a small start up and our kickstarter came from our uni asking us to try and do something for JOhn Logie Bairds 90 year ann, he is the most famous alumni. Any advice on how to drum up support

We also decided to do the video a little different, im curious on peoples point of view on the gamble?

Hmm... is there any way you can leverage your uni connections?

    Hi LambdaPC!

We launched six days ago and wow it's been a lot of work! I read on many blogs/websites that the hardest part starts after clicking the launch button and now I truly believe it!

What's working for us has been a organic/grassroots marketing, of course all the social media outlets, but also getting out meeting people face to face. I find this to be an excellent way to offset all the time spent in front of the computer. You have a large number of friends on Facebook which is great, but how have you reached them? Do you have a business page?

One thing that helps and I've wanted to and should have done earlier is back other projects. It's tough though since for many of us money is tight and we're spending our own money to get things going on Kickstarter. I've backed two projects so far and I am looking forward to backing many more in the future!

Best of luck to you guys!
