    Does it make a difference, i.e. do people get confused and opt not to pledge so much if the currency is not USD?

    As an american, I would definitely rather pledge in $ to avoid the exchange rate (just my initial reaction). Obviously, the quality of the campaign matters also.

    For me, no difference. However I suspect that most people would prefer a currency they are used to dealing with, so they can see the cost at a quick glance. Looking up exchange rates is a pain, even if only in a different browser tab.

    I would be suspicious if you priced your goods in $, but were based in the UK, and this might put me off.
