hello, which sites do you recommend, besides reddit, to promote a kickstarter. I am trying to get more pledges for mine, but i realized that my category is food and most of popular blogs online are about technology and games.
    Thanks

Whoa the forum change confused me for a sec!

Super Ketchup, your campaign looks great! I'm totally interested in that and think you have a good thing. It's really hard to know what places to post in when it's not your field. But I know there are a TON of popular food blogs and forums out there, so it's all about searching. Any food related site/review site that will do an article on you or has a forum is a good place to start. You might also want to go local if you haven't already and contact your local newspapers and magazines.

It's all about not giving up though, so just keep searching. When we thought we exhausted all of our searches, we just tried again and found more.

    Good luck!

@kimiko Yea - figured it was time for for a UI upgrade. I kind of miss the old user interface though haha. This one is too slick. Makes me feel like I'm in an expensive shop and going to break something. I'll send you an email in a second with some questions for an interview/post in reddit.

@superketchup - Just left a reply on your blog comment. If I were you, I would identify the individuals that are super huge proponents of healthy eating and get your project in front of them for thoughts/feedback. Just like I am an evangelist for crowdfunding, there are people out there who are leading the charge against unhealthy foods and fast food.

The problem we have is we cannot mail samples, we make the ketchup with no preservatives at a commercial kitchen. We have done everything we can locally, and we need the kickstarter to fund our first commercial batch, that can be delivered anywhere in the US.

And thank you for the quick reply

HI Garrett. It's just perseverance. Every single day we made sure to get the word out somewhere. Even if it was negative (as in people were just like "oh these people again and rolling their eyes"), at least people were seeing it. We didn't want to be annoying, but it probably got that way on Reddit at times. We had some days that were super slow and then we had some awesome days and then in between. It just depends on who has an open mind and who is interested in something that you're doing.

sbriggman - Sounds good, I'll look for it! It will take some getting used to, it's definitely a bit more "shiny", but it's a nice update :)
