I am an Indie tabletop game designer and avid game player so I most often use KickStarter for finding games. I check weekly for new tabletop campaigns to see if there is something new that interests me. I've supported about 15 projects in the last 2 years since finding KickStarter. I think most people that already know about the crowdfunding sites are probably like me, and search Kickstarter for the categories they are interested in. I occasionally browse other categories too and have supported several non game campaigns that interest me as well. I plan to run my first campaign for one of my games this fall and I have been reading a lot of Sals posts as they have been a tremendous help in gaining more knowledge about crowdfunding. I'd be curious to see what type of marketing works best for each type of category on KickStarter. I'm guessing that it can vary quite a bit depending in the category of the campaign. Those stats would be very helpful as using any promotional money as efficient as possible to promote my upcoming campaign would be great.

Have you checked out any of the posts StoneMaier games has written like: http://stonemaiergames.com/euphoria-stats-edition/

They also ran a table top game and might have some helpful insights for you :)

Hey Sal. I have not, but I definitely will now that you told me about it. I also ordered your recent e-book and look forward to reading it. Thanks again for all of the work you do. I don't know how you do it!

Definitely. Would love any thoughts you have on the ebook either on the page (you can leave a comment on the page you purchased it from) or on this thread.

Hey Sal, great stuff in your e-book. Was worth the $4 for sure. You have so many links organized together in there. I could keep following those rabbit trails for weeks. There was one link on the last page titled "How to Raise $100,000 in 10 Days (Includes Successful Templates, E-mails, etc.)" which was a dead link, it just doesn't do anything when I click it. No big deal, just thought I would let you know. Even without it though, some great stuff to rummage through for deeper insight. Thanks my friend!
