This is fantastic, thanks! I'd be curious to know folks' thoughts - is Fb is still as good as it was when this was first posted? It might be my industry (video games, and more specifically VR), but I'd heard that Fb is far less prevalent than it once was. Especially as younger folks tend to be on other platforms.

You make a solid point! 😊 It’s true that project owners often need to take a step back and evaluate objectively. While support is crucial, the foundation of a successful campaign lies in the quality and appeal of the project itself.

The stats about campaign failure are sobering but also a great reminder that preparation is everything. Testing the waters with family, friends, and strangers is a fantastic way to validate the idea before launching. If the feedback is positive, it’s definitely a step in the right direction. Promotion and outreach are the next crucial layers, but like you said, it all starts with a strong, market-ready project. 💡

Glad you found it helpful! 😊 You bring up an interesting question about Facebook's relevance. It’s true that its dominance has shifted over the years, especially among younger audiences who are gravitating towards platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and even Discord for more interactive or visual content.

For industries like video games and VR, platforms with a strong focus on video, community engagement, and real-time interaction might have a stronger pull. Facebook still has its merits—its targeting tools for ads remain powerful—but it may not be as effective for reaching the younger demographics compared to these newer platforms.

I’d love to hear what others think too—has Facebook’s relevance shifted in your field?

This is my second campaign with Kickstarter. The first one failed miserably. This one is going a bit better. But what can I do to really get it out there.
