I heard about Kickstarter when a youtube channel I follow called cyanide and happiness did a fundraising campaign.
I am working on a poetry book called Red Robins Sing in the Winter. It spans across the four seasons and carries the overarching theme of perseverance. There are drawings to accompany some of the poems and each season will have its own art style.
I'm raising money to get a good editor/proofreader, pay the illustrators and for marketing/advertising purposes. I want to get my book out there for others to read. Plus, I don't want there to be typos or grammar errors.

We owned a little roadside market and supported local vendors. One of the vendors was a mother and her daughter who has downs syndrome - they made gluten free cookies. In 2016 they ran a kickstarter campaign to raise funds to create better packaging for their cookies to grow their business. It was a small and successful campaign. I need help purchasing a large wood fired brick oven for a new restaurant concept, and i thought this would be a great way to raise funds. Im not sure I'll be able to meet the campaign goal though, its getting a little scary.

I heard about Kickstarter through a series of MoistCr1TiKaL videos where he mocks funny or ridiculous kickstarter campaigns. Now here I am years later trying to start one of my own lol

I first learned about Kickstarter when I stumbled upon a video of Sal on my phone. I was searching for funding options that wouldn't require me to give up a significant portion of ownership, and that's when Sal appeared.

I first heard about Kickstarter when I saw a cool tech gadget on a blog. It seemed like a neat way for small projects to get off the ground, and I've backed a few projects since then.

I got into Kickstarter when I read about a new gadget on a tech blog that I just had to have. I was intrigued by the idea of supporting small projects and getting early access to cool stuff. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked on finding unique projects and helping them get off the ground.
