I have created a template for analyzing equity crowdfunding investments:
#1 Team: bet on the jockey, not the horse
#2 Biz: the horse!
#3 Traction: what has the company accomplished vs expectations thus far
#4 Macro: does the business have wind at its back? Lots of good ideas have gotten crushed by bad timing/poor environment
#5 Terms: Valuation, share structure, etc.
