Do NOT - I repeat, do NOT - use Krowdster. I was fooled into thinking they were a legit company. They are a scam. Their customer service is basically non-exist. They have a phone number on the website, but you will be directed to a voicemail box 100% of the time - and they will NEVER call you back. If you email them, it can take a week or more to hear back, if they respond at all. I had to email them multiple times before getting a response. Their prices are outrageous and they will not offer anything of value. They sold me "customer Facebook audiences" and there was no way for me to accept them on Facebook - I sent them screenshots and explained the situation. They REFUSED to issue a refund even though I never got the product I had paid for! Truly the worst company I have ever worked with. Please save your money and stay far far away.

Yes DO NOT use the Krowdster backer directory! I just bought it for 50% covid discount they had running to try it for the potential to use for FB targeting ads, and their file doesn't even have enough data to correctly upload for FB ads. I brushed through a couple of the backer profiles and many are outdated. I am sure this was abused previously and used incorrectly by many people, with these "super backers" shutting down their profiles because of it. Hopefully I will get my money back but we'll see. Don't use!

I have been working on Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects for a number of years now and I have collected 200,000+ backer email addresses from the projects I have worked on. I’m happy to share with you and/or other passionate crowdfunders.

Yea just got scammed out of the Krowdster backer list which does not have enough data for advertising to those particular backers on social media. Very outdated as well. @morebackers if you still are open to sharing that list, I just sent you an email. Going to use it mostly for paid advertising and not abuse it. Thanks!

Ok, I'll try to put in my two cents here saying the following: these directories or email lists are from experienced backers.
Experienced backers know how to recognize a successful project quickly. If for some reason they open your email and click on your project, and you only have 5% funded halfway through your campaign they'll see right through it and won't back you because your campaign doesn't have any social proof.
For these types of paid promos to work, your campaign has to already be doing good.

Nope, I never even heard about it, but I am already anxious to test it out. The only background checking service I ever used is whoeasy , these guys help to detect every phone number of every person, that is rather useful sometimes.
