Is there a risky solution out there (air or electric) that handles low grit as well as higher grit grinding for us Turners? Does anyone have any feedback on Metabo 3"? i tried the older grex model and it worked perfectly for higher graininess ... but it did not reach the lower graininess. Have they made improvements to the new models? Currently, I use both lower grits and hand grinding of higher grits...and i always carry a candle of hope that someday i will come across a suitable solution of ros.

Honestly, I haven't heard about Metabo sander before, but I am not someone who knows a lot about this. Everything I know I learned on bestorbitalsander.com, it's a great website for people that are newbies like I am. If you are looking for good sanders you can find a list of them on that website. All the sanders on the list are reviewed, and you can make an educated decision.
