I have recently lauched a kickstarter 'We Are Makers' that showcases makers from all over the globe. It is a publication with 80+ makers & 200+ pages. Since Kickstarter is a worldwide platform I thought this would be the best platform for a project such as this, however, I actually don't know how people find projects like ours - even with a project we love.

Yes, totally agree that it's really difficult to stand out among so many projects listing in Kickstarter nowadays. That's why there are so many service providers offering ways to help boost the visibility of a project. We too signed up for Kickbooster hoping that it helps...

The quality of projects available on the site depends on Kickstarter team and the more projects can succeed the more kickstarter will make.

It's been a while but I agree with sclim. Just launched my first campaign recently and was bombarded by marketing emails. It's so difficult to stand out now.
