I've never successfully utilized this, but I think theodysseyonline.com may be a potential goldmine for getting your campaign out there.
I used to write for them, and every week, we were supposed to submit a new piece of content that would then be published the next week. Sometimes it was hard to come up with ideas for what to write about. So using my theory, someone could try to reach out to a current writer to see if they could cover your campaign. The problem is that since they don't actually pay their content creators, there is a large turnover, so it's not uncommon to see that most writers on their have published fewer than 5 articles.
