What conversion rate should someone expect from their email list?

I am new as well to crowdfunding. I've done tons of reading. List building before your campaign seems to be key for almost every campaign thats done high backed campaigns.

    Thanks for the video.

I am working on my marketing plan. I hope to share it here once I am live.

Can't stress enough how important email is to get that funding on crowdfunding!

How do you best collect those emails?

    An effective landing page.

It will be your main tool to get you fully funded on your crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

Yes, this one page will help you to do that.

That’s because long before your crowdfunding campaign actually goes live, you’ll be using your landing page to attract potential backers. Therefore, the one and only goal of your landing page will be to capture their contact information (email).

While it might seem like a perfunctory part of your campaign, how your landing page is designed can make or break the foundation of your campaign.

People who come to your landing page have three options:

    1. Opt-in to your email list.
    2. Hit the back button.
    3. Close the browser window.

The one, and only goal, for your landing page should be to get people to opt-in to your email list.

This allows you to communicate with them for your upcoming campaign and launch.

The Basics: 5 Things That Must Be On Your Landing Page
Good landing pages make all the difference in crowdfunding campaigns. But you don’t want your audience to simply land on your page; a great landing page effectively converts visitors into leads and potential backers. In addition to a few must-have elements, landing pages must add power to their punch in order to drive conversions and get leads for your Kickstarter or Indiegogo launch.

The key elements of a great landing page are fairly simple:

    1. The Image
    2. The Headline
    3. Supporting detail
    4. The Promise
    5. The Call-To-Action

Very important information. Emails are the formal way to deal with potential buyers and convert them into real ones. A perfect list of emailing not only heightened the campaign vibe, but it also gives substantial information about the creator. One must understand the fact that it is the experience that we are after. Not the product. A product may resonate with you but the experience makes the decision. Email is a very formal and efficient way of building a relationship with potential and real customers.

You're right. The email list is absolutely essential. And I think one of the things where people get it wrong is thinking there's a magic number they have to have.

What I've come up with on this subject is how to calculate how many leads you really need, depending on a series of factors. So here we have the math of it:

You only need to get to 30% of your total funding goal on Day 1.

    N = (0.3 * A) / P * E
N = Number of leads required at launch

A = Total amount you need to raise (your funding goal)

P = Price point of your main reward tier

E = Email list conversion rate (this number can range from 0.05%-5% depending on your list)

And that's it! If you want to learn more about this formula and how to use it for your campaign, you can go here https://crushcrowdfunding.com/the-exact ... to-launch/
