I've been reading some of the posts here and it's so great to see such a lovely community
I launched my Kickstarter a couple of days ago and I'm really excited to share it with everyone! It's a plant-based cookbook I've been working on for the last year, writing, designing and photographing every element of the project.
I adopted a plant-based diet a few years ago and found the new lifestyle quite daunting at first; I was spending a lot of money on fancy ingredients and left feeling a little overwhelmed by the whole thing. Eventually, I realised the mistakes I was making and started becoming more comfortable in the kitchen again, and this is when I was inspired to create my book! It's full of inexpensive, easy and delicious recipes that utilise ingredients you're already familiar with, without alienating anyone.
It's been a slow start, my friends and family have been absolutely amazing with their support and I've had some interest from outside of my social circle. It's going to be a long month!

I think the campaign page is well designed, but err...it's not really a Kickstarter page. It's too slick, you've got a basically a bunch of images on a page - where as the average Kickstarter uses images and text. Text is easier to (screen) read, copy and paste etc., so I'd recommend you convert it back.
Also it's a cookbook, but potential backers would want to see some receipes so whether it's a scanned page or even a downloadable PDF sample, it would help.
I think the campaign is failing in two points:
- They don't know what the receipes are
- They don't know the benefits. I.e., if I ate vegan for 1 week, the health benefits would be X..
Good luck with the campaign!

It's been a while since I hung out here much, but while passing through, today, I'll pause long enough to provide some feedback on your Kickstarter crowd funding project
1. Is that you, that finally appears at the 2:03 minute mark of a project video that is two minutes and twenty-seven seconds in length? At a bare minimum, that qualifies as bad form, if nothing else. Plus, it's a terrible waste of yourself, the project creator, as an asset to your own project video.
2. You set a funding goal of almost thirty thousand dollars to create a cookbook in an era of self-publishing. That strikes me as utter madness! And for what? For 70+ recipes? Looking at the "Why?" section of your project page, the funding goal appears to have been set with a whole mix of competing priorities in mind, which denotes a lack of focus and a desire to have project backers back a range of activities that you want to spend their money on.
3. You've managed to craft a project page about food that is visually unappetizing. You want almost thirty thousand dollars, yet you don't even bother to utilize imagery of food in a manner that is visually tempting, much less visually commanding of the human eye. Your project page has a visually sterile look to it - and I don't mean that as a compliment. Since you're project is about a cookbook (among other things), why are you visually under-feeding project page visitors? You aren't likely to be very successful with that approach.
4. I'm browsing your project page with my desktop PC. Why are your project page images so small? The smaller in size a given image is, the less visual impact that it is likely to have upon those who view it.
5. Your images aren't clickable, you don't provide handy links to see bigger copies of the images, and you make no use of captions.
6. Your project video makes use of music that grows old very quickly, and it distracts from the speaker's voice. This approach is counter-productive. If I wasn't watching your project video just to give you some feedback on your project, then I would have quickly clicked it off.
7. You do grasp how to utilize text in image format - but, your chosen method of doing so yields less visual impact than the standard Kickstarter text, in most of the instances where you utilized text on your project page.
8. You've managed to provide a lengthy Table of Contents on your Kickstarter project page completely bereft of imagery for that very same Table of Contents.
9. Your project page is a single image that is six hundred and eighty pixels wide by five thousand seven hundred and ninety-five pixels high. What on Earth possessed you to think that that would be a good idea?
10. It's still early in your campaign cycle. That means that you still have time to improve your project page and potentially gain from any changes that you make. Be sure to keep an eye on your project's trend on kicktraq:
http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/105815 ... hart-daily
11. You have five hundred and sixty-six Facebook friends, and your Kickstarter currently has thirty backers. Thus, to a large degree, your Facebook acquaintance base is a potential resource that you have barely tapped, yet.
My recommendation is that you undertake a major revamp of your project page. In its current incarnation, you make no real use of a personal connection nor a social connection. If you do nothing else, post LOTS of photos of yourself and various food dishes on your project page, with bits of text in between, a sentence or two. You can always relaunch it, if it fails, or you can cancel it and start anew. But, your funding goal is likely going top come back to bite your project right squarely in the ass. To avoid that, you need to build a lot of momentum, and begin doing so rather quickly. Otherwise, your project will likely miss its funding goal. Granted, that's just my assessment, but it is what I think, based upon what I see and encounter on your Kickstarter project page.
Regardless, good luck with it, just the same!

I just look a look at your page! It looks wonderful. I will forward on to my foodie friends and chef friends. You might also want to check out Katy Hearn! She is a fitness figure on instagram and owns her own gym. She also produces Bite Meals and personally eats a plant based diet! She as an influencer or other follows might be good targets for you!
