Very cool idea...one suggestion I would make is to have an image front and center that shows the steps of how this converts from a tote to the pillow and play mat, because it's not entirely clear to me...maybe show diagrams from your patent, if any...actually showing a copy of the patent itself somewhere might be cool...really emphasize how much you've invested in the project already...I saw the patent link but it's not a user-friendly site.

    Good luck!

Out of curiosity, why did you choose Kickstarter over Pozible?

I guess it was timing - Kickstarter was launching in Australia around the time I planned to launch and I wanted to get some leverage from that. Plus it's the global leader so potentially had a bigger built-in audience of course. Any tips for getting backers? I am considering getting a PR firm to help. Suggestions?

Most of my tips are on CrowdCrux.com. Have you tapped out your friend/family base of supporters completely? How have you been marketing it to date?

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I've seen your wonderful tips and have applied some of these, including putting a presser on your website. I'm actually a former journalist so I've sent out a press release and contacted my local media and my hometown media too, the local girl turned inventor type angle. I've also emailed mummy bloggers but I've heard back from a few saying they won't do anything until the product is manufactured so they can do a giveaway!

I'm considering hiring a professional PR firm, but the cost seems to negate the point of hiring them as I'm only after $10,000 on Kickstarter and could potentially spend thousands on PR!!!

Any recommendations for an affordable crowdfunding/parenting PR agency?

    Cheers.
