Thank you for sharing! I just launched my project 4 days ago (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ac ... ap-project) and have seen 2 backers pledged the highest reward tier then subsequently decreasing or cancelling their pledges, which is really pretty sad.

We have been inundated with requests from "promotional" companies for our campaign but I'm dubious to say the least.
I guess its tough when you know your project is for a great product yet your still fighting to get the word out to the masses.

Thanks for sharing this, it's really interesting to hear, and such a shame that it seems to be a common occurrence. I'm doing some research looking at security solutions to protect backers from fraudulent campaigns, but this highlights a big issue the other way round.
